BUSINESS DISPUTES

The Firm has literally thousands of business clients. As a result, we are often called upon to assist in the resolution of the inevitable disputes that arise. The Firm prides itself on what we call the "business-minded resolution" of those disputes. Often, partners or other business associates will engage in a dispute over ownership of a business or its assets and destroy a business in the process. Our objective in those situations is to maintain level-headedness and attempt to both resolve the dispute and save the business. That objective involves a great deal of trust by a client because we will often not be guided by the advice of an emotionally-strained client, but rather provide advice to that client and attempt repeatedly to have a client understand the costs and consequences, both professional and personal, associated with protracted litigation.
