CIVIL AND CRIMINAL TAX LITIGATION
and OTHER WHITE COLLAR CRIMINAL LITIGATION

The firm has a strong specialization in civil and criminal tax litigation encompassing all aspects from IRS audits and United States Grand Jury investigations to United States Tax Court and United States District Court litigation. Shareholder John M. Hanamirian has extensive experience in an array of "sensitive " tax matters, often called upon to represent other professionals or their clients in defense of tax cases and the related professional licensing issues. Mr. Hanamirian fields at least one phone call a day from other professionals seeking guidance with respect to the conduct of their clients or regarding a position that a professional would like to take with respect to the tax treatment of a particular transaction. Those other professionals find it helpful to have the ability to have a transaction viewed from an audit or litigation perspective prior to taking an actual position for their clients. John also works with Tom Tamburelli in the context of evaluating health care fraud and disclosure issues.
