Fredric R. Cohen is an experienced and diverse commercial litigator in the area of business disputes involving contracts and commercial relationships. His practice includes litigating shareholder or partnership disputes, debtor and creditor relationships, agreements of sale, joint venture agreements, real estate contracts including contested foreclosure proceedings, leases and any other commercial contract. Mr. Cohen also specializes in "RICO" claims (the United States and New Jersey statutes known as the "Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act") which involve allegations of commercial fraud as a result of perpetrating federal crimes. Mr. Cohen is also experienced in matters of bankruptcy, having represented debtors in Chapter 11 proceedings and more recently creditors. Mr. Cohen is also experienced in all aspects of litigation including alternative dispute resolution by the use of negotiation, mediation or arbitration.

Mr. Cohen's clients have included one of the largest real estate developers in America regarding a dispute with a governmental entity, several national owners and operators of parking lots, claimants litigating an "ERISA" claim (a United States statute supervising pension affairs), a large marine terminal operator, condominium complexes, owners of hotels and conference centers, and one of the largest commercial lithographing printers in the Delaware Valley.

Mr. Cohen is admitted to practice in the states of New Jersey and New York, as well as the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Cohen attended the American University in Washington, D.C. where he graduated in 1968 from the School of Government and Public Service and received his Bachelor of Arts degree. Thereafter he attended the Villanova Law School and graduated in 1971 with a juris doctorate degree. He commenced his career as a Deputy Attorney General with the New Jersey Attorney General's Office after which he has spent his career in private practice.
