Anne Cantwell is an associate in the firm’s Real Estate department. Her practice focuses on representation of commercial lenders in the context of development and rehabilitation of low-income housing tax credit housing projects. She has a proven track record for efficiently and effectively working with project stakeholders, including non-profit and for-profit developers, investors, lenders, and local, state, and federal entities, to secure project financing and approvals.
Anne has broad-based experience in commercial and residential real estate, as well as land title insurance claims and litigation. She has a proven track record of effective representation of both regional and national financial institutions the context of all facets of commercial lending, documentation, workouts and complex litigation. She has represented creditors, trustees, and debtors in the context of workouts, bankruptcy reorganizations and liquidations. Her state and federal court practice entails substantial experience in matters involving creditors’ rights and real estate issues.

Notable Litigation
Anne represented a non-profit organization in a New Jersey city statutory tax appeal, which was successfully litigated in the tax court and upheld by the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey.
Anne represented landowners who successfully achieved summary judgment denying an attack on title to real property, which was upheld on appeal by the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey.
Anne has served as a mediator, by court appointment or party selection, since inception of the mandatory mediation program in litigation commenced in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey. She has worked together with parties and counsel to achieve the successful mutual resolution of numerous adversary proceedings in the bankruptcy court.
