Bonnie Galam

New Jersey & Pennsylvania

Bonnie is Of Counsel in the Firm’s Estates and Trusts group. She regularly represents real estate investors, business owners, and families with estate planning, succession planning, business structuring, seller financing, and asset protection.

As part of her estate planning practice, Bonnie advises clients on a full range of planning arrangements, including revocable and irrevocable trusts, buy-sell agreements, asset protection trusts, charitable giving strategies, and planning for business interests, cryptocurrency, limited partnership interests, and other non-traditional assets. She brings particular depth to complex family dynamics, including blended families, unmarried partners, and families with minor children or dependents with special needs, crafting plans that reflect the realities of modern life rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Bonnie also has extensive experience in corporate structuring and entity planning, including the formation and maintenance of limited liability companies, family holding companies, and family limited partnerships. She advises clients on tiered ownership structures designed to consolidate assets, facilitate generational transfers, and maximize liability protection. Bonnie also counsels clients on the formation and strategic use of self-directed retirement accounts, including self-directed 401(k)s and IRAs, as vehicles for investing in real estate, private equity, and other alternative assets.

Before joining the Firm, Bonnie founded The Galam Firm LLC, where she built a reputation for strategic counsel, client-centered service, and collaborative planning with her clients’ financial advisors and accountants.

Bonnie is widely recognized as a thought leader at the intersection of law and real estate investing. She has been featured on the BiggerPockets Money and BiggerPockets Rookie Podcasts and has spoken to national audiences, including the InvestHER community. Through her weekly podcast, House of Horrors, and her legal education content, Bonnie helps real estate investors understand the legal frameworks that protect their portfolios, structure their businesses, and build sustainable wealth.

When she’s not in front of the mic or at her stand-up desk, Bonnie can be found scrolling rehab ideas on Pinterest, at the pool with her 3 kids, or reading with the windows open.
