Mr. Sorkin brings extensive experience in trust and estate planning and administration, including fiduciary taxation, to the Estate and Trusts Group at Sherman Silverstein. Mr. Sorkin embodies both a receptive and practical approach to his trust and estate practice that supports the needs of his clients. He is licensed in both the state of New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
A cum laude graduate of Rutgers School of Law, Mr. Sorkin served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Patrick DeAlmedia, Presiding Judge of the New Jersey Tax Court. Here he learned the key to the practice is the attention to detail, while not losing focus to the larger matters at hand. He was also a Dean’s Academic Excellence Scholar, and a reputable senior staff editor of the Journal of Law and Public Policy.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sorkin completed his LLM in Taxation at New York University in 2018. He also worked as a certified Public Accountant (PA) where he worked for KPMG in Philadelphia, PA as an audit associate and later as an accountant within a large pharmaceutical company.
